  Divorced: Goulburn Evening Penny Post (NSW) Saturday 29 November1902Page 4 Jacob v. Jacob. In the Divorce Court on Wednesday, Mr. Hodgson,instructedby Mr. R. E. Cunningham, appeared for thepetitioner in theabove matter. In the suit Emma MariaJacob, formerly DeSmet, petitioned for a dissolution of hermarriage withAlexander Robert Jacob on the ground ofdesertion. The parties were married at Queanbeyan in August,1884,according to the rites of the Presbyterian Church.Theylived together until October of the same year,whenrespondent, a bank clerk, told his wife he had been removed from Queanbeyan, and leftthere.Petitioner had only seen him once since, though therehadbeen correspondence between them. The last moneyshereceived from him was in 1896. A decree nisi forthedissolution of the marriage was granted, andmadereturnable in three months.
